Content With What I Have

If I were to create a contentment chart it would probably look much like yours.  Sometimes high.  Sometimes low.  Sometimes average.  My satisfaction level varies with the day and sometimes even the hour.  I have all I could ever want or need yet my mind says ‘I want more’.   Look at these words from Hebrews 13.

Hebrews135

Can we all try living this?  Can we develop an ‘attitude of gratitude’ ?  God has so much in store for us.  He truly wants to give us ‘every perfect gift’.   His storehouse is packed full and he doesn’t want to keep it for Himself.  The very next verse says, “The LORD is my help, so I will have no fear.”  (Hebrews 13:6/Psalm 118:6)  He promises to supply our every need…We can count on Him!

  1. Such an important reminder to be content & grateful for that which we have. He is with us always, giving us His best for us. Grateful to be neighbors this morning at Coffee for Your Heart 🙂 Blessings!

  2. Yes so very True Marie, Love overflows from a grateful heart, or Thankfulness overflows from a Loving heart, they go together.

As I was reading Marie, I thought of a Psalm that magnifies your message…..

Psalm 23 :1-6 The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy Rod and thy Staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Thank you dear Marie, you will be in my prayers – Christian Love – Anne
