Yes Marie, Jesus is The Living Word and our shield, in Truth He is all our Armour and by the empowering of the Holy Spirit, He gives us understanding of all God’s Truth in the Scriptures (Hebrews 4:12-13 K.J.V) so many read the Bible and even study it but have no true understanding of Jesus and He warns against this, we need God’s wisdom empowered by The Holy Spirit, so we ask and receive (1Corinthians2:9-16)
John 1:1-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Revelation 19:12-17 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns; and He had a Name written, that no man knew, but He Himself and He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and His Name is called The Word of God. And out of His mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the Nations: and He shall rule them with a Rod of iron and He treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And He hath on His vesture and on His thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of -Lords .
