Each year I select a word that I will focus on for the coming year. Last year it was ‘stillness’. This year it will be ‘content’. I will be focusing on 1 Timothy 6:6-7 and Philippians 4:11.
My concept of being content is in knowing that I truly have all I need and God will provide for the future. My goals include simply learning to trust and rely on God, choosing a more simple lifestyle, and always making Him the center of my decisions and relationships.
If you’d like to join me on this journey, perhaps choose your own word for the year, hop over to OneWord 365 and let’s do this together.
Blessings to you and yours!
Marie
Visiting from Faith Barista’s link up today! A great word for 2016! I hope as you pursue Contentment this year, that God will richly bless you and teach you! Cheers!

My Word for 2016 Marie is Trust, without Trust there is no Love but Trust cannot come by force it’s in our hearts by the empowering of the Holy Spirit and is shown in Unconditional and Sacrificial Love.
1 Corinthians 3:4 -13 Love suffers long and is kind; Love does not envy; Love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the Truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.
Proverbs 3: 4-7 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil.
Psalm 40:3 – 4 And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall Trust in the Lord. Blessed is that man that maketh the Lord his Trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart Trusted in Him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.

Let’s remember to ask one another throughout the year about how we’re doing with our word. Happy New Year!

I was asked this question on another Blog Marie which I answered with my own word which I will share with you too.
Reflective…..
I had opportunities in 2015 to reflect on God’s Love, Compassion, Mercy and Goodness, shown in His amazing Intervention in my life.
I had opportunities in 2015 to reflect on life without blinkers on or pretending to be Happy Clappy instead of asking for help.
I had opportunities in 2015 to reflect on and to learn God’s Truth instead of believing Satan’s lies.
Many Blessings for the New Year Marie, for you and your Loved ones and thank you for your encouragement on Freedomborn.
“Christ”ian Love – Anne.
