Are you a person of calm temperament? Slow to anger?
The Bible has a lot to say about being slow to anger. “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love.” (Psalm 103:8) I found 52 (could be more) verses that talk about this subject. Not one of them said don’t be angry.
Anger is a reality in daily life, however, we should think through the best response. Perhaps, even, we should not respond at all. Slowing down and thinking through the possibilities is the better way. After all, it is God’s way.
Abba, Father, control our responses to life’s situations. Let our words be gracious, kind, and supportive.
Blessings to you and yours!
I agree with your prayer, Marie, “Abba, Father, control our responses to life’s situations. Let our words be gracious, kind, and supportive.” Amen.
Life is so tough but I know from experience, as I’m sure you do, that He is always in control.
Blessings and success to you and yours!
