5-Sentence Friday

I’m trying something new.  One of the on-line gurus I follow (Ruth Soukup) commented in a recent blog post that she had read there should only be 5 sentences in an e-mail.  So my creative mind went to work and came up with an idea.  Why not write a Friday blog that will have only 5 sentences.  I’ll choose a Bible verse each Friday and give you 5 sentences with my personal thoughts on it.  Here goes…

But whoever keeps His Word, truly in him the love of God is perfected.  1 John 2:5

To keep His Word we have to know it.

Although I can’t be perfect God’s love is.

Keeping His Word is a daily process of reading it, studying it, and thinking about it.

I am more aware of what God wants me to do in life situations when I can apply His words to them.

God’s perfect love, perfected in me and shining through me, will draw others to Him.

And that my friends is 5-Sentence Friday # 1.  What do you think?  Is it a keeper?  What does the verse I chose mean to you?1

Blessings to you and yours!

Marie

  1. 1 John 2:4-6 He that saith, I know Him and keepeth not His Commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him. But whoso keepeth His word in him verily is the Love of God Perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk even as He walked.

This complete Scripture above is confirmed below Marie, it means when we are Perfected in Love and Born again, we no longer Sin, we are like Jesus is in this World, Holy and Righteous.

1 John 4:17-19 Herein is our Love made Perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as He is, so are we in this World. There is no fear in Love but Perfect Love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made Perfect in Love. We Love Him because He first Loved us.

1 John 3:9 No one who is Born of God will continue to Sin because God’s seed remains in him he cannot go on Sinning because he has been Born of God.

1 John 5:18-20 We know that no one who is Born of God sins but He who was Born of God keeps him and the evil one does not touch him.

Romans 8 :12-15 Therefore brothers we have an obligation—but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. or if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live, because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons/daughters of God.

1 John 3: 1-11 ( 6-7 ) Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, neither known Him. Little children, let no man/woman deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.
