He Hears Us

I find it amazing that the One and Only God hears me!

Not only hears me but wants to hear me. He wants to know every delight, every problem, everything! That’s pretty incredible when I consider that the Creator and Master of all that is, was, and ever will be thinks I am worthy of His attention. The King of Kings stretches out His hand to me, grabs hold, and says, “Let’s talk. Tell me everything.”

Abba, Father, hear me today. Hear my joys, my sorrows, my needs, my wants… I Need Your Presence!

O God of peace and calm, 

Lead our feet away from panic and chaos.

Help us to tame our tongues and season our speech with grace

So that we sound like You.

Help us to expand our patience and kindness

So that we serve like You.

Help our love be unconditional

Like Yours.

May the seeds we plant in obedience

Bear fruit in the lives of our loved ones.

May we recognize the potency of our words

And also see power in our silence.

Help us to remember we are first sinners

And second, sinned against.

Help us to seek to understand

More than being understood.

Help us care more about Your Word

than having the last word.

Guide us

And hide us

In Your Truth

For the rest of our days.

Fruit of the Spirit

Consider these words bythe Scottish minister John Baillie:

Teach me, O God, to use all the circumstances of my life today to nurture the fruits of the Spirit rather than the fruits of sin.

Let me use disappointment as material for patience;

Let me use success as material for thankfulness;

Let me use anxiety as material for perseverance;

Let me use danger as material for courage;

Let me use criticism as material for learning;

Let me use praise as material for humility;

Let me use pleasures as material for self-control;

Let me use pain as material for endurance.

Waiting

It can be extremely difficult to wait. Whether it be for an appointment, for water to heat, for a special event… Even more to wait on an answer from our LORD.

However, He WILL answer. It can be yes, no, or wait on My timing.

He WANTS to answer. We need to be good listeners. He has a variety of ways to answer. He may choose His Word, His people, the circumstances around us, during times of worship…

Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know. Jeremiah 33:3

He is listening!
