Do you include music in your prayer time? I do. Years ago I heard a Bible Teacher say she used her dog walking time as Praise time by singing her favorites while she walked. I thought, Hey! I can do that. Click on the picture to enjoy some of my favorites:
Better Than A Hallelujah – Amy Grant
God of This City – Chris Tomlin
Here’s another idea for your quiet time. Copy your favorite hymn lyrics and pray through them. Example:
On Bended knee I come, with a humble heart I come, bowing down before Your holy throne. Lifting holy hands to You As I pledge my love anew. I worship You in spirit. I worship You in truth. Make my life a holy praise unto You. (On Bended Knee I Come by Don Moen)
(Prayer for On Bended Knee) Heavenly Father I come before the Throne, bowing before Your majesty and greatness. I lift my hands in praise and worship, giving You all of me. My life. My love. My everything. Lord, You are all the truth I need. Fill me with Your Spirit. Only You are worthy of my praise and I give it will all my heart.
Or, choose some of your favorite solo guitar, piano, harp, orchestra, whatever instrument(s) you like best, put your earbuds in, sit in your favorite chair or place, and BE STILL.

Blessings to you and yours!
It’s still snowing and blowing and cold…I truly love this weather. I look out the windows in my home office and there’s a wonderland of white and it’s so beautiful. God is painting new pictures every day around my country home and I am so thankful! He’s reminding me that I have been washed whiter than snow. My God shows me that He is with me all the time. Amen and Amen!
Here’s another of my translations of the Psalms. This one reminds me that even in the worst of political tension and wars God knows what is going on and He is in control.
Worship the LORD! Celebrate the LORD! Honor the LORD! Love the LORD!
Heavenly Father, in this scary and confusing world I know that I can take refuge in You. I know that You are in control. Heal our country and heal our land. Let us know Your presence in these trying times. Hear my prayer lifted in Jesus Precious Name. Make it so!
COME LET US WORSHIP
Fellow seekers and worshippers if you do not know my Jesus and this worship experience moved you to know more of him…Do you understand that we all sin? Do you believe that Christ died for those sins and is the One and Only, Son of God? Are you ready to be washed and made whiter than snow? Ready to grow in knowledge and understanding of our Lord Jesus Christ? The say the following prayer out loud, wherever you are. Then let another believer know so you can become a part a worshipping fellowship. I welcome you as a part of my forever family. You have received the crown of life eternal.
Heavenly Father I come to You in the Name of Jesus. I acknowledge my sins and ask Your forgiveness for them. I believe that Jesus is the Christ, that He died to save me from sin, that I will spend eternity with Him in Heaven. I believe that You have forgiven me and want to bring glory and honor to You. According to Your gracious and merciful spirit I will proclaim that I AM SAVED. Amen and amen!
If you have determined to accept Jesus as you personal Savior and One and Only God, let me know. I’d love to stay in contact.
Because He lives I (we) to shall live!
Worship is built into the fabric of our souls. When we have something good happen we shout it out, we talk about it with friends and family, we lift our hands to heaven.
Worship is woven into the Story from the beginning of the Word in Genesis through Revelation. Let’s take a look at a few examples:
Genesis 12:8 Abram builds a personal altar to worship the One and Only
Psalms The entire book is about a life of worship. Through prayer and praise the psalmists lift their personal life to the Throne.
Luke 2:36-37 Anna has been a widow for many years. Day and night, year after year, she fasts and prays, lifting praise to the LORD.
Revelation 7:11-12 This beautiful, dramatic scene gives us a picture of heavenly worship. It’s ALL about God!
Worship can be loud. It can be soft. Worship can be with others or all alone. It can be in a church, in a car, at the kitchen table or sitting on the porch swing in the mountains. No matter where we are we are made to and for worship.
Ah, Lord, God, You alone are worthy of all my worship and praise. You alone created the beauty around me, the people I share this life with, the stuff You have blessed me with. Oh, Lord, make me so aware of Your bountiful blessings that all I can do is worship You. Make it so!
